Working alongside client Green By Nature for the City of Sydney, Greenway Turf helped renew and refresh the turf at Tumbalong Park in 2025, following one of Sydney’s biggest annual events — Vivid Sydney. Tumbalong Park is a central part of the Darling Harbour Vivid experience and gets a high volume of foot traffic during this time.
With a firm deadline before the next lineup of events in the space, including SXSW Sydney and the Hoops & Everything music festival, the project needed to be completed efficiently and to a high standard, with turf firmly established and ready for visitors.
Greenway Turf carried out the removal and renewal process across the site, including:
• stripping the existing area with a field Topmaker
• removal of waste material
• final trim and rake for a smooth, level finish
• and installation of 4,500m² of Maxi Rolls Eureka Kikuyu
