Autumn: prepare your lawn for the cooler months
Autumn is an important transition period for your lawn. As temperatures begin to drop, warm-season turf varieties gradually slow their growth and prepare for winter. This is a good time to give your lawn a final nutritional boost, maintain its colour and start preparing it for the conditions ahead.

- Apply pre-emergent before temps start to decline
- Apply granular fertiliser before temps decline too considerably
Winter: protect your lawn while growth slows
Winter is generally a quieter period for warm-season lawns, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do. Cooler temperatures can slow growth and reduce the lawn's ability to recover from stress, while winter weeds and disease can become more noticeable.

Product Compatibility: What Can Be Applied Together?
Many lawn care products can be incorporated into the same seasonal program, but not all products are compatible for mixing or simultaneous application. Always check product labels and take care when combining granular fertilisers, liquid treatments, herbicides and lawn pigments.
Granulars
LSA Fert, ProPlus, Oxafert, Oxafert Plus, and Grub Guard Ultimate can be applied at same time and watered in well together. We do however recommend Oxafert be applied a few weeks before or after regular fertiliser to limit over application of nitrogen.
Liquids
Kelper & Soaker can be applied together (lightly watered after application into the soil).
Iron Guard Plus should be applied separately – iron does not mix well with other liquids.
Exceed & Rescue are foliar, apply separately. Can tank mix with other products, if watering is required shortly after application they will not be absorbed by the leaf, but by the roots.
Herbicides
Do not mix herbicides for application. Always apply as per label rates and instructions.
Once herbicide has dried on the leaf, you can apply other herbicide products. Best to not use any other lawn care products like liquid fertilisers on the same day. Give the herbicide time to dry and absorb well before applying any other liquids (including water) to the lawn.
Pigments
ColourGuard Plus is applied and absorbed by the leaf. It can be tank mixed with other products like Exceed or Rescue for application, provided no watering in after application is required.
